Great food in a wonderful atmosphere along the Columbia River in Pateros. Cozy Restaurant, Great Food! Outstanding drink menu, delicious exotic mixed drinks as well as micro brews and tasty domestic wines. Affordable, clean, prompt service.
Prices are way over the line - even for the tourist trap that it is. They did discount one meal from the tab and we went to a very nearby bakery for a sandwich which was awesome. Sorry Howard's, you lose.
Dined there June 27th 2017. The special was seasoned pork medallions with a spiced apple compote, wild rice, mixed vegetables, and garlic bread. We started with a coconut shrimp appetizer which explains the 2 stars as it was very good. The main course however could best be described as dried shoe leather with the only moisture available via 2 tablespoons of apple pie filling mixed with an equal amount of cayenne pepper. The saving grace was the rice and veggies used to cool it down.
So disappointing! This is far from the best Pateros has to offer. Sweet River Bakery is by far superior in quality and flavor. We expected the steakhouse experience from quality of the meat and recipes but were disappointed to find the experience nothing more than Denny's at a steakhouse price. The bar up the road also had better quality and ingredients at a less expensive price point. Overall, very disappointing experience.
Excellent burgers. Probably some of the best beef burger I have had in a long time. You get what you pay for. A little pricey for a quick on the road lunch.
We love this place. Good is good with good service. We haven't been disappointed in all the times we've been there. We come back for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every time we stay in Pateros.
