Clean campgrounds with close access to a beautiful lake. Not much privacy at any campsite, some have more than others though. Saw staff walking the grounds often, as well as people cleaning bathrooms. Very well kept, and a nice place to stay.
A beautiful little lake to spend the weekend at. The campground is in pretty nice shape after the fire. Can get breezy/windy in the afternoon.
Stopped here on our way to Glacier National Park, and loved this gem of a find. The lake is super picturesque and the ambiance is very peaceful. We wanted to stay longer but we had a schedule to keep. The ranger there was very helpful and friendly, I belove his name was Bob!
Make sure to pack your Washington State Discovery pass, or else you have to pay to be there!
Really good place to go swimming. Water is warm. Has 2 swing sets, has amazing bathrooms with showers (pay to use showers), lots of picnic tables including a roofed picnic table, little store for buying icecream, burgers, and other items.
Alta Lake is very calm. It definitely is a small lake, and not a lot of people come here. I was here during the weekend, and like I mentioned not a lot of people were here. If you want to go to Lake Chelan, but you fear the full capacity of the weekend, I would recommend to check out this park. The water is cool, and feels great during a hot day. Available also are nice little hiking trails. There are restrooms, and showers available. If you are hungry, there is a little concession stand available.
