What a great little hotel tucked into this quaint town. Rooms are amazing. They all have a view of the river and fireplaces in the rooms. My room had a walk in shower.

I stayed here for 3 nights recently. The rooms are nice and appear to be clean at first glance, but I am not a fan of spiders and there were a lot of spiders and other crawling insects living in my room. I could see them mostly on the ceiling along with their webs and dead insects that were caught in their webs. Seeing this always makes me feel like the room is not cleaned as well as it should be and makes me wonder what else they didn't clean. Why not vacuum the ceiling?? The WiFi did not reach my room, so although there is no charge for the WiFi, it also doesn't work. I tried to use it in the lobby as well, but no luck there either. There was a dirty towel hanging on the bathroom hook when I first checked in to my room and garbage underneath the ottoman in the room. My phone also wasn't working. I corresponded by email with the general manager prior to writing this review to inform her of these things but her response was more defensive than apologetic so I won't be back because of that alone. I've also stayed in the less expensive motel down the street from this one (Pateros Motor Inn) which also has spiders and webs on their ceiling, but the WiFi worked and it was about $50 less per night so I suppose if I have to sleep with spiders when I go to Pateros I'll enjoy having WiFi with them for less.

The raspberry lemonade and raspberry chocolate cheesecake is to DIE FOR. I may have actually transcended this earthly realm. It ain't cheap, that's for diddly darn sure, but if you're feelin' it, TREAT YO SELF. Also, there's WiFi! I love me some WiFi. But best part of all? One can sit outside to admire the OUT OF THIS WORLD view of the best darn river this side of the Mississippi. It gleams just right in the sunlight, making you ponder what in tarnation you ever did to deserve a life so full of beauty and happiness. This is the best place to dine in Pateros. Hands down. The servers are the aaabsolute sweetest, the WiFi is poppin', the food is so good you'll cry when you finish it, and the view is jaw-dropping, so I'm just going to warn you right now... you won't want to leave.

So disappointing! This is far from the best Pateros has to offer. Sweet River Bakery is by far superior in quality and flavor. We expected the steakhouse experience from quality of the meat and recipes but were disappointed to find the experience nothing more than Denny's at a steakhouse price. The bar up the road also had better quality and ingredients at a less expensive price point. Overall, very disappointing experience.
